Wave and Willow is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving mental health and overall well-being by fostering a deeper connection with nature.

From peaceful woodland sessions and indoor or outdoor sound bath therapy to energising stand-up paddleboarding lessons, Wave and Willow offers a wide range of nature-based activities. These experiences provide a chance to unplug, breathe in the fresh air, and embrace the tranquillity of natural surrounding -  individually or in groups.

Operating across Hull and the East Riding, some of the sessions we offer:
· Outdoor sessions for home-educated children
· Activities for under-fives· A popular weekend club at Raywell Scout Centre
· Monthly wellbeing events
· Collaborations with other local charities like Matthew’s Hub and Hidden Disabilities.

All sessions are designed to be inclusive and accessible, empowering people to experience the restorative power of nature regardless of age or ability.

Wave and Willow have extended their offer to include collaborations in nature, including reiki/yoga/sound bath wellbeing events in the woods, supported through engaging with Growing Green and Blue Health and the opportunities it offers.

Tasha, Director at Wave and Willow explained:

"Growing Green and Blue Health has essentially launched the CIC for me last summer through helping to sound people out about whether there is a need (there absolutely is) for nature-based experiences, introductions to other people and organisations offering nature based activities and the amazing training which has completely changed my perception of how I look at the outdoor environment. It is so exciting to see the number of people and organisations accessing what Wave and Willow offer, and so rewarding to hear how it is changing people’s lives".

Wave and Willow continues to grow its reach and impact, one walk in the woods or paddle on the water at a time.
Introducing Natasha, your wellness navigator
About me:

Hi, I’m Tasha — founder of Wave and Willow CIC and a passionate advocate for reconnecting with nature to restore balance in body and mind.

With a background in psychology and over two decades of experience supporting emotional wellbeing, I’ve spent much of my life exploring how we heal, grow, and thrive when we’re in rhythm with ourselves and the natural world. My journey began in the corporate world of finance, but a deep inner calling led me back to my roots in mental health, movement, and mindfulness.

I’m a trained outdoor practitioner, forest bathing guide, and sound healing practitioner. I’ve also worked extensively in youth and community mental health, helping people of all ages feel seen, grounded, and empowered.

Wave and Willow was born from my love of water, trees, and the healing power of the great outdoors. Whether it’s the quiet magic of a woodland walk, the deep resonance of a sound bath under the open sky, or the meditative glide of paddleboarding on calm waters, my work is about creating spaces for you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect — with nature, with others, and most importantly, with yourself.

I’m so glad you’re here.

“Connecting with nature has transformed my mental well-being. The activities are both calming and invigorating, offering a unique way to unwind and recharge.”
